Scholarship information

Arcadia British School provides scholarships for those students who have outstanding abilities in art, dance, drama, and music. This scholarship is designed to provide additional support and opportunities, ensuring that scholars can fully develop their skills and interests. A successful applicant would have experience in Performing Arts from an extra-curricular perspective and perform to an outstanding level.

All applicants should email: laura.wild@arcadia.sch.ae, with information on the child’s performance experience, along with videos if possible, if they wish to be considered.

Our Stars of the Future

Anna Hodosi

Anna has always enjoyed theatre since she was little. She has played multiple main characters in Arcadia British School’s performances such as Genie in Aladdin (2022), Alice (in Wonderland) (2022), Alex the Lion in Madagascar (2023) and played Ayesha in Smile Incorporated the musical (2024).

Anna also joined AKT Youth Theatre Company in 2022-23 and played Peter Pan’s brother in Peter Pan and Wendy. She loves taking improvisation classes at the Courtyard Theatre in Dubai. This is something she says has really helped her as a performer. Anna has also completed 3 LAMDA exams and will be entered for Acting Grade 3 this year. Anna is passionate about acting and intends to continue pursuing it in some capacity, even if she chooses a different career path in the future.

Violeta de Mora

Violeta began her acting career at the age of 9, when she played Jasmine in Disney's Aladdin on stage and since then she has not been able to stop! Since the age of five, she began asking for singing, piano, ballet and artistic gymnastics classes, and reciting poems and songs, both in English and in her native language, Spanish. Violeta attends the Musical Theatre Academy at Arcadia British School and is always auditioning for leading roles. She is part of the LAMDA program as well receiving a distinction in three grades. Last year, at Smiley Incorporated, Violeta was part of the main cast and had the opportunity to continue demonstrating her qualities as an actress and singer by working in a team and developing new skills within the theatrical scene.

Outside of school, Violeta quarterly workshops at the Courtyard academy, participating in performances such as Shrek the Musical or Six, and very recently attending musical theatre classes, performing singing and dance fusion at the Academy of Arts Diverse Performing Arts in Dubai. One of the characters that will be unforgettable for her in her new career is Marty, from the Madagascar Musical.

Jimena de Mora

Jimena began her career as a musician when she was five years old when she asked for her first violin. Since then, Jimena has developed her musical career attending different music schools in Spain, different shows, and later in Dubai. In recent years she has developed her potential through Arcadia, with her private lessons, completing the 8 grades of the Trinity exams with great success, and participating in different events throughout each school year. Jimena is currently part of the Dubai Youth Orchestra for two years. In addition to the violin, Jimena plays the electric guitar and is co-founder of the band The Monarchs of Arcadia British School. In addition, Jimena has participated on several occasions in different musicals as an actress, playing roles such as Jafar in Aladdin, and in Madagascar being the evil grandmother and one of the hyenas, which demonstrates her great aptitude and qualities for the performing arts as well as musician. Truly, Jimena is a lover of challenges.

Beya Daoud

Beya has been passionate about dance from a young age, starting her journey at 4 years old. With an enthusiasm for movement and a love for performing, Beya quickly became known for her dedication and natural talent. Beginning with ballet and Hip Hop, Beya showcased her commitment through various local performances and competitions. Over the years, she expanded her repertoire to include Commercial, Acrobatics, Musical theatre excelling in each discipline and gaining recognition for her versatility and creativity.

Notable achievements include 2nd Place in the Dance Experience competition in Sharjah and Global Dance Open 2024 UAE local competition qualifiers in March 2024. Following this, she was honoured to win 5th place in the World performing commercial Solo dance in Global Dance Open in the Netherlands(July 2024) which underscored her hard work and skills. In addition to her performance accolades, Beya is praised for her teamwork, discipline, and positive attitude in class. She continues to inspire those around her with her passion for dance.

Diana Pantaleo

Diana began dancing at the age of 3, starting with ballet and later expanding her skills into contemporary, modern dance, and musical theatre. Her passion for the performing arts led her to take singing lessons and develop a love for acting. At Arcadia British school, she excelled in her LAMDA exams for two years and actively participated in every Musical Theatre and Performing Arts event involving her year group. She performed in “Smile Incorporated” and took part in a stunning mini-performance of “Matilda the Musical” at the Arcadia Festival, alongside a group of exceptional learners. Outside school, Diana attends Fly High Dance Academy and DPA, where she showcases her talents annually in theaters across Dubai.

Diana is also a model and actress, having appeared in several commercials across the UAE, often in lead roles for various retail brands.

Ayda Sancar

Ayda Sancar began her dance journey at the age of 2, instantly falling in love with the art. Today, she is a dedicated student at Step Up Academy, where she trains seven times a week. Ayda's passion for ballet shines through in every performance, making it her favorite dance style. In her last showcase, she dazzled audiences with her stunning dances in multiple styles. She also participates in prestigious dance competitions to further refine her skills, most recently performing with her dance school at Disneyland Paris. At Step Up Academy, Ayda takes part in RAD ballet examinations every year, excelling in these rigorous assessments known for their high standards and difficulty.
