As we look ahead to the upcoming academic year, there are many exciting opportunities on the horizon. One area that we are particularly excited about is performance opportunities for children. From plays to musicals to talent shows, there are so many ways for children to showcase their skills and talents.
Not only do they provide a chance for children to develop their confidence and skills, but they also encourage creativity and self-expression. In today's world, where technology often takes center stage, it's more important than ever to provide opportunities for children to connect with others and express themselves in meaningful ways.
Within the primary school and secondary school, students can audition for the chance to participate in our school choir.
Research from the University of Oxford has found that being in a choir ‘improves health and happiness’, and is a fantastic way to develop friendships and confidence.
The choir plays an important role in Arcadia, performing regularly at whole school events such as concerts, assemblies, information evenings and more. There are opportunities to perform further afield across Dubai and the UAE, collaborating with other schools and young people. Students can also audition for solo opportunities within the choir.
Students within the secondary school get a chance to audition for ‘Music Academy’ to be a member of one of our bands. This is exclusively for those students who play an instrument to a high standard (minimum ABRSM/Rock School Grade 3), and are dedicated and committed to rehearsing and performing regularly. It is for exceptional learners who want more performance opportunities than the average student.
Our peripatetic teachers are available for one-to-one lessons during the school day. This is an excellent opportunity to make additional progress out of the classroom, with guidance from an expert in their field. Our instrumental teachers can take students through graded exams such as guide ABRSM, Trinity College London and Rock School, or can simply teach for fun! The lessons we currently offer are:

ABRSM, TCL and RSA are examination boards based in the UK. They are accredited by Ofqual to award graded exams and diploma qualifications in music.
